Choice of Savings Plan resp. of the Savings Plans

Beginning from 1st January 2019, at the PGG exist two pension plans: a main plan (annual salaries up to CHF 97'500) and an additional main plan (annual salaries between CHF 97'500 and CHF 127'980).

As an active member of PGG, you can choose when you join PGG and by no later than 1 January of each year for the main plan and - if applicable for you - for the additional main plan between two savings plans: savings plan Standard and savings plan Plus. With savings plan Plus, you can (starting at age 25 or age 45 depending on the company where you are employed, only applicable for the main plan) invest even more in your pension. The contribution rate of the employer is the same for both savings plans. If there is no written notice to the contrary, the savings plan Standard will automatically be used. After joining the pension scheme, employees can only switch plans on 1 January of each calendar year if they submit written notice to this effect to the employer’s HR department at least one month in advance (by no later than 30 November).
